The wrath we deserved, but You took instead

The mercy displayed, love graciously showed

The tomb that was empty in only three days

Lord, we remember how You appeared

Before the disciples stricken with fear

Lord, we remember You said You’d return

To set up Your kingdom, for that day we yearn 

Lord, we remember the bread and the cup

The work that was finished, our living hope

Lord, we remember as sinners You bought

The forgiveness You purchased, the change You have wrought
